The warm weather and the sunny breaks this morning had the roadside potentillas ablaze in golden yellow and the scent of crabapple, honeysuckle and what I believe is honey locust , all in full bloom, was amazing!

The picturesque Shanandoah Valley and thr wonderful rolling hills of western Virginia and eastern Tennesee were a treat. We could have done without the horrid crosswinds however.

A long day`s ride saw us into Knoxville by nine fifteen. It`s much cooler here than it was in Virginia however, and they are anticipating SNOW on Monday!!
