Day 57 Thursday June 5

No Travel Day

Samara, Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica

Temp: 40 degrees C

Sunny and Humid

Up early, made coffee, went to the bank again and off to the internet to see if Pat had sent the package yet.

Yahooo! It’s on it’s way! Kudos to Patrick, our saviour!

We posted the blog and went back to celebrate at the restaurant with early Margaritas and Locanda Sunsets and food.

By mid afternoon the surf was looking like it might happen so I went off to rent a board and have another go at “Maytag”!

I got a nice board with a good wax job but the waves never really amounted to much, great swells but a lot of sitting around and paddling back up-current. I’m still trying to figure out the line-up protocol. Mostly I’m just staying clear of the others and stating out on the fringe but it’s hard to catch anything there.

Back for a shower, off to supper and drinks by sunset on the beach with my Susie…..

This guy came to 'visit' us as we sat at the beach-side restaurant having supper! So cool...
