Day101 Saturday July 19
Temps: 26C
Sunny, Clouds
Spent the morning doing errands and then off to the lavender festival in Sequim.
I was amazed at the fact that there were over eighty varieties of lavender represented! I was wondering how many uses there were for lavender other than aromatic essences for cosmetic products and was surprised to find it included in culinary use as well. There were many, many recipes for infusions, cold drinks, jellies, potions, cakes and other desserts, seasonings, sachets and bouquets…..
Live music and many food stalls added a carnival atmosphere to the street fair, and the weatherman did his best to help out.
